WE
THREE KINGS
"My
fellow acting pal, Dean Crownover wrote and directed this
hilarious 'mockumentary' of Elvis impersonators. He needed
someone to write some parodies of Elvis tunes. I co-wrote the
songs with Randy Hoexter - he wrote the music and I penned the
somewhat-irreverant lyrics. It was a flat-out commission
project."
WE THREE KINGS has gone on to win "Audience Favorite"
at the Downstream Film Festival (Gainesville, GA) as well as
"Audience Favorite" at the New York Film
Festival. We even hear it's being used in some college
classes on film making!
"Pure beauty…could be a bona fide documentary…quirky,
insane." The Atlanta Journal Constitution
"What separates this film…is a simple but powerful
center. It has heart." The Gainesville Times |

Atlanta Classical Theatre's ROMEO AND JULIET
-- "Sonnet 145" and "So & So" (from Torch Life)
Gwen acted in
this production of R&J as the "wedding singer" at
the party where the fateful meeting of R&J occurs. She
put Shakespeare's lovely "Sonnet 145" to music,
playing the guitar herself in the show (even though she's not a
guitar player!). The show was produced in the open air of
Grant Park, to wide acclaim.

The
SHOWSOUTH AWARDS
"They wanted a cheesy little tune to accompany a bouncing ball onscreen…we gave them cheese!" |
|
| STATESMANSHIP (a local film by Eric Potter) "He used existing tracks from Torch Life for this short film of suspense and intrigue." |
